What you'll do and how you'll make an impact:

At LearnWorlds, we believe learning is the original human superpower — the force that turns knowledge into products, skills, and progress.

Our platform helps creators, educators, and organizations in more than 150 countries turn expertise into scalable learning experiences that sell, teach, and transform. As AI floods the world with information, learning becomes the countermeasure — the skill that keeps humans creative, relevant, and in control.

Build. Ship. Learn. Improve. (Repeat.)

We’re a remote-first, fast-growing EdTech SaaS with a global footprint. Our Engineering team builds the core experiences that thousands of educators and learners rely on daily. And as we scale, we want our Engineering org to scale too — not with bureaucracy, but with clarity, strong operating rhythms, and systems that make execution smoother. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad ownership, operating at the center of how Engineering works.

We’re now looking for an Engineering Operations Manager — the person who builds and runs the operating system of Engineering. You’ll work closely with Engineering leadership and tech leads to make sure the essential processes (hiring ops, onboarding, cadences, reviews, enablement) don’t just exist… but actually run well, consistently, and improve over time. You’ll own how these processes run and improve — not what engineers build or ship.

If you love turning ambiguity into structure, closing loops, and helping high-performing teams operate at their best, this is where you’ll do your best work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and run the predictable “operating rhythm” of the Engineering department (cadences, rituals, follow-ups, accountability).
  • Own the operational side of key engineering-wide rituals (e.g., monthly engineering all-hands): agenda building, coordination, action tracking and ensuring follow-through.
  • Drive continuous improvement across Engineering: identify friction, propose improvements, run experiments, and ensure adoption, not just rollout.
  • Turn leadership discussions into actionable outcomes: notes, decisions, owners, timelines, and follow-through.
  • Strengthen Tech Lead effectiveness through management enablement (This is about reinforcing shared standards and management hygiene — not owning people management or performance decisions.):
    a) reinforce 1:1 hygiene and team rituals
    b) help standardize lightweight best practices across teams
    c) ensure key processes actually happen consistently
  • Run Hiring Operations for Engineering:
    a) keep pipelines moving, remove bottlenecks, coordinate interview loops
    b) improve screening flow and process efficiency
    c) continuously refine the hiring system with templates, tooling, and feedback loops
  • Own Onboarding Operations for new Engineering joiners (especially devs):
    a) define and oversee onboarding structure, milestones, and handoffs
    b) ensure shadowing of key meetings/rituals and fast relationship-building
    c) run onboarding feedback loops and iterate the onboarding system
  • Operate performance and growth systems (process-first):
    a) review-cycle timelines, checklists, prerequisites, and reporting
    b) ensure the right conversations happen (without writing the reviews yourself)
    c) support mentorship program operations (cadence, tracking, improvements)
  • Manage training/learning operations:support execution of the annual training budget plan & encourage knowledge sharing and internal learning loops
  • Improve cross-functional awareness and alignment (Engineering ↔ PM/Design/etc.) at the process level & reduce surprises, clarify how information flows, and raise shared context

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • You’ll directly increase the speed, clarity, and effectiveness of a scaling Engineering organization.
  • You’ll work at the center of how teams operate — with high leverage and visible impact.
  • You’ll partner with strong engineers and leaders while shaping how Engineering works, learns, and improves.
  • You’ll build systems that reduce chaos without adding bureaucracy.
  • You’ll have real ownership — and the mandate to make things better.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Prefer ownership over hand-holding and clarity over bureaucracy.
  • Love closing loops and turning “we should do this” into “this is how we do it now.”
  • Think operational excellence is a competitive advantage — not overhead.
  • Communicate clearly, push gently, and can influence without formal authority.
  • Enjoy building lightweight systems that teams actually adopt.
  • Are curious, pragmatic, and motivated by continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations / program management / org effectiveness in a product or engineering environment.
  • Strong ability to design and run repeatable processes (cadences, templates, checklists, tracking, retros).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and high attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: you can coordinate busy people and keep things moving.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure without creating friction.
  • A bias toward action, follow-through, and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering teams, tech leads, or engineering leadership.
  • Background in Engineering, Product, or a technical domain.
  • Experience scaling teams or running programs in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with performance review cycles, onboarding design, and hiring pipelines in tech orgs.

Benefits

  • Private life and health insurance plan
  • Fully remote work if you prefer to work from home, apart from when we have team meetings a few times per year
  • Your personal annual training budget
  • An annual home office allowance to set up your personal space
