Assign Credly templates
Choose Credly credentials on a certificate activity, then pick any template you created in Credly from the dropdown.
Show custom fields as evidence
Custom fields in your certificates and custom sign-up fields appear automatically as evidence fields in the issued Credly credential.
Review issued credentials
Open the Certificates page to review every issued credential. Each entry shows the user’s name, course, and issue date, plus the file and score when there is one.
Sync Credly badge events
Add the LearnWorlds webhook URL in Credly so badge deletions and state updates show up in your school.

See what happens in Credly when learners reach a certificate activity. Automatic rows need no setting beyond the first-time connection, and conditional rows need a setting first.

What teams ask before connecting
Are badges issued automatically on course completion, or does someone need to trigger it?
Automatically. Once you assign a Credly credential to a course’s certificate activity, learners receive it when they complete the course.
Can issued Credly badges be revoked or updated if the learner’s status changes?
Changes made in Credly reach LearnWorlds. After you add the LearnWorlds webhook URL in Credly, deleting a badge or updating its state shows up in your school. You can also edit or delete certificates on the Certificates page.
Why use Credly instead of LearnWorlds native certificates?
Credly adds shareable badges and certificates that employers can verify instantly, and each credential has a unique URL you can use to showcase course details. You still choose per certificate activity between a school certificate, Accredible, or Credly.
How to set up the LearnWorlds and Credly integration
You need a paid Credly account and a certificate template. At the end, learners receive your Credly credential at course completion.
1. Get your Credly details
In Credly, open Organization > Developers > Authorization Tokens and copy the Organization ID and API Token. Requires: a paid Credly account.
2. Activate Credly
In LearnWorlds, open Settings > Integrations > Digital Credentials, find Credly, and click Activate.
3. Save your credentials
Paste the Organization ID and API token from Credly, then click Save.
4. Create a Credly template
In Credly, open Organization > Badges > Create Template. Fill in your details and click Save.
5. Assign it to a certificate
Open the course outline, hover over the certificate activity, and click Settings. Choose Credly credentials, pick your template, and click Save.
6. Add the webhook URL
Optionally add the Webhook URL from your Digital Credentials page in Credly under Profile Settings > Organization > Developers > Webhooks > Callback URL. For the full setup guide, see the Credly help article.
