Add course files from Dropbox with the Dropbox LMS integration
Use Dropbox files in your courses, from bulk uploads and images to audio links and assignments. The Dropbox LMS integration works across bulk uploads and the media library, plus audio activities and file assignments.

TL;DR
The Dropbox integration lets you pull files from Dropbox into bulk uploads and the media library, link Dropbox audio, and accept Dropbox files in assignments.

Stop downloading first. Bulk uploads pull course files straight from Dropbox

Close the tab freely. Dropbox bulk uploads keep running in the background

Add images fast. Pick one or more Dropbox files in the media library
Best for: Course creators and instructional designers who keep course files and images in Dropbox.
Available on all paid plans. Dropbox in file assignments needs Pro Trainer or higher.

How LearnWorlds and Dropbox integrate
See where Dropbox fits into your school and what each action needs. Every row starts with a choice you make, so each one is conditional.
| LearnWorlds | Dropbox | Type of trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Bulk upload to a course with Dropbox chosen | Files upload directly from Dropbox’s servers and continue in the background | Conditional |
| Media library with Dropbox selected | Your Dropbox files appear after you authenticate your account | Conditional |
| Audio activity with the URL option | Plays the Dropbox file from a share link ending in dl=1 | Conditional |
| File assignment | Dropbox listed as a supported source for submitted files | Conditional |
How to set up the LearnWorlds and Dropbox integration
You need a Dropbox account. Setup differs by place, so start with the one you need.
1. Open the media library
Click an image on a page or ebook, then click Change in the side form. Select Dropbox and authenticate your Dropbox account. Requires: a Dropbox account.
2. Choose your Dropbox files
Pick one or more files from the list of your Dropbox files to upload them.
3. Add an audio link
In an audio activity, open Settings and choose the URL option under Audio file. Paste your Dropbox share link with dl=0 changed to dl=1.
4. Fix mobile playback
If the Dropbox audio link doesn’t play on mobile devices, replace www.dropbox with dl.dropboxusercontent in the link.
5. Upload course files
In a new or empty course, start an upload and choose Dropbox under cloud storage services. For the full setup guide, see the bulk upload help article.
