What you can do with Google Meet and LearnWorlds
Schedule sessions inside courses
Add a Google Meet activity from the course outline and set its topic, start time, and duration. LearnWorlds creates the meeting on the Google account and calendar you choose.
Control meeting access
Choose Open to let anyone with the link join without approval. Choose Trusted to make people outside your Google organization and invite list ask to join.
Repeat sessions on a schedule
Turn a session into a daily, weekly, or monthly series of up to 20 occurrences. Each occurrence becomes its own learning unit.
Share replays after class
Paste the recording link into the activity’s replay video setting so learners can watch the session afterward.
How LearnWorlds and Google Meet integrate
See what happens in Google Meet when you work in LearnWorlds. Automatic rows need no action after you connect, and Conditional rows depend on a setting you choose.
| LearnWorlds | Google Meet | Type of trigger |
|---|---|---|
| You save a Google Meet activity with a date and time | A meeting with its own link and Google Calendar event on the chosen account | Automatic |
| A learner clicks Join with Google Meet in the course player | The learner enters the meeting, and LearnWorlds logs the join for attendance | Automatic |
| You set the session as recurring | Up to 20 sessions, each added to the course as its own learning unit | Conditional |
| You turn on reminder emails | LearnWorlds emails enrolled learners before the session, with no Google Calendar notifications | Conditional |
What teams ask before connecting
Is Google Meet natively integrated, or do I add the link as an embed?
It’s a native integration, so you don’t paste or embed links. You connect your Google account under Settings > Integrations > Live Sessions, then add Google Meet as a learning activity in the course outline. LearnWorlds creates each meeting on the connected account.
Is attendance tracked in LearnWorlds when someone joins a Google Meet session?
Yes, when learners click Join with Google Meet in the course player. LearnWorlds tracks time from when the activity opens until the learner moves away. Learners who join from a Google Calendar link aren’t tracked, but you can mark their activity as completed manually.
Can learners join from inside the course player, or are they redirected to Google Meet?
Learners join from the course player. Enrolled learners open the live session activity and click Join with Google Meet, which appears 15 minutes before the start time. Until then, they see a message that the session is upcoming.

Who uses the Google Meet integration and how
Course creators running weekly live lessons

Schools with several instructors hosting sessions
On Learning Center or above, each instructor connects their own Google account and creates Google Meet activities in the course editor, with full control of their own sessions.
