Sell LearnWorlds courses through your Shopify store and enroll buyers automatically with the Shopify LMS integration.
TL;DR

Skip manual signups. Shopify billing details create the learner’s LearnWorlds account
Fill one cart with several courses. Buyers get enrolled in every one
Stop re-listing courses by hand. One click on Sync pushes them to Shopify
Best for: Course creators who already run a Shopify store and want to sell courses there.
Available on all paid plans. Shopify handles one-time sales only.
What you can do with Shopify and LearnWorlds
Use Shopify as your gateway
Process your LearnWorlds sales through Shopify. It calculates taxes, including VAT, from the learner’s location.
Sync courses as products
Click Sync in the Shopify tab to create products for paid and coming soon courses. Free and private courses stay out.
Run Shopify discount codes
Share the coupon codes you create in Shopify. Your school’s built-in coupon codes don’t apply at a Shopify checkout.
Connect several schools to one store
Sync products from more than one school into one Shopify account, even when course slugs match.
How LearnWorlds and Shopify integrate
See what moves between your school and Shopify. Course data goes to Shopify when you click Sync, and purchases come back as accounts and enrollments.
| LearnWorlds | Shopify | Type of trigger |
|---|---|---|
| You click Sync in the Shopify tab | Eligible courses and learning programs appear as active products, LearnWorlds to Shopify only | Conditional |

What teams ask before connecting
Does a Shopify purchase automatically create a learner account and enroll them in the course?
Yes. The billing details entered at Shopify checkout create a user account in your school, and buyers are enrolled automatically, even in several courses from one cart. The order and invoice show in the learner’s profile.
Can I keep Shopify as my storefront and still use LearnWorlds for course delivery?
Yes. Synced courses appear as products in your Shopify store, and buyers get enrolled in LearnWorlds. Keep in mind that Shopify then becomes your only payment gateway and handles one-time sales only.
Do I need a developer to set up the enrollment workflow, or is it point-and-click?
It’s point-and-click, with values you copy between the two platforms. You create a custom app in the Shopify Dev Dashboard, copy the scopes and redirect URL from your school into it, and paste its Client ID and Secret back into LearnWorlds. Stores that belong to a Shopify organization may need extra steps in the Partner Dashboard.
How to set up the LearnWorlds and Shopify integration
You need a Shopify store and access to the Shopify Dev Dashboard. At the end, your courses sell in Shopify and buyers get enrolled in LearnWorlds.
1. Create a Shopify custom app
In the Shopify Dev Dashboard, create an app and add your school URL as the App URL. Uncheck Embed app in Shopify admin. Requires: a Shopify store.
2. Copy scopes and redirect URL
Copy the Scopes and Redirect URL from Settings → Financial → Payment Gateway → Shopify in your school into the app, then click Release.
3. Connect Shopify in LearnWorlds
Toggle Activate Shopify on and enter your .myshopify.com store URL. Paste the app’s Client ID and Secret, click Save, then click Connect with Shopify.
4. Install the app
Approve the install in Shopify. If you see that the app hasn’t been reviewed, click Install. You return to your school once it’s installed.
5. Set email-only checkout
In Shopify, set Customer contact to “Customers can only check out using email”, since LearnWorlds links purchases to accounts by email.
6. Sync and test
Open the Shopify tab, click Sync, and make a test purchase. For the full setup guide, see the Shopify help article.
