Host course videos on your own account with the Vimeo LMS integration

Upload videos through LearnWorlds and keep them in your Vimeo account too. The Vimeo LMS integration also lets you add existing Vimeo videos to courses by ID.

TL;DR

The Vimeo integration saves uploading twice. Videos you upload to the LearnWorlds Video Library also land in your Vimeo account, and existing Vimeo videos join courses by ID.

Skip the double upload. Video Library uploads also go to your Vimeo account

Reuse videos already on Vimeo by entering their ID instead of uploading again

Avoid playback errors by applying a LearnWorlds embed preset before you upload

Best for: Course creators and training teams who already host their video library on Vimeo.

What you can do with Vimeo and LearnWorlds

Upload from the Video Library

Add videos to the Video Library as usual. Once Vimeo is connected, each upload also goes to your Vimeo account.

Add videos by Vimeo ID

Create a video learning activity, choose From Vimeo, and enter the video ID. The video needs to be Public or embed only in Vimeo.

Apply settings to older videos

Tick Also apply to all existing videos in Vimeo so earlier uploads use your LearnWorlds embed preset.

Embed on your custom domain

If your school runs on a custom domain, add it under Where can your videos be embedded in your Vimeo settings.

How LearnWorlds and Vimeo integrate

See what moves from LearnWorlds to Vimeo and what you set up first. Conditional rows need a setting in Vimeo or LearnWorlds before they work.

If your school uses a custom domain, click Add domain under Where can your videos be embedded and enter it. For the full setup guide, see the Vimeo help article.

Who uses the Vimeo integration and how

Course creators with an existing Vimeo library

They add each video as a From Vimeo learning activity by entering its ID. Nothing has to be downloaded and uploaded again.

Training teams uploading new course videos

They upload new lessons to the LearnWorlds Video Library and the files also land in their Vimeo account. Nobody uploads the same video twice.
