What teams ask before connecting
Is this a direct native integration or does it go through Zapier?
It’s a direct integration built into LearnWorlds. You activate it under Settings > Integrations > Email integrations and authorize your GetResponse account. The setup has no Zapier step.
Which user events sync to GetResponse: registration, enrollment, or completion?
All three. Registration creates the contact in your users list. With auto-tagging on, enrollments and course completions add tags. Certificates, purchases, and free previews of paid courses can add tags too.
How to set up the LearnWorlds and GetResponse integration
Setup runs from your LearnWorlds settings plus a few GetResponse custom fields. You need a GetResponse account. At the end, users and leads sync in real time with their tags.
1. Create your GetResponse lists
Log in to GetResponse and create separate lists for registered users and leads. Requires: a GetResponse account.
2. Add your custom fields
In each list, create the custom fields you want LearnWorlds to fill. Set them to text format and don’t make them required.
3. Activate GetResponse in LearnWorlds
Open Settings > Integrations > Email integrations. Choose GetResponse and check Activate.
4. Authorize your GetResponse account
Click Connect to GetResponse. You’re redirected to your GetResponse account, then return to LearnWorlds to finish setup.
5. Pick lists and auto-tags
Click Update lists, select the lists for users and leads, and choose your auto-tagging actions. Click Save to apply your changes.
6. Sync your existing contacts
Click Sync your contacts with GetResponse. Repeat it only after adding custom fields. For the full setup guide, see the GetResponse help article.

Yes. Users and changes to their data sync to GetResponse automatically in real time. A field only syncs if a matching text custom field exists in the list.
Tags with special characters don’t sync, so a tag such as pop-up with a hyphen won’t appear. Tags a user had before auto-tagging was on don’t sync either.
No. Adding users from an Excel file creates GetResponse contacts with fields and tags. Updating existing users that way doesn’t change their fields or tags in GetResponse.
Yes. LearnWorlds lets you connect more than one email marketing platform. That helps if you run different forms and campaigns on each.
