Measure school traffic and sales with the Google Analytics LMS integration
See how many people visit your school, where they come from, and how they use it. The Google Analytics LMS integration sends page views to GA4, plus the funnel events you turn on.
TL;DR
The Google Analytics integration connects your school to GA4 with one Measurement ID, no hand-pasted tracking code. Registrations, checkouts, and purchases then land in your GA4 reports once you turn those events on.
Stop guessing where visitors come from. Page views reach GA4 automatically
Skip manual sales exports. Purchase events record each sale in GA4
Spot where buyers stall. Add to cart and begin checkout events map the path
Best for: Course creators and marketing teams who report on traffic and sales in GA4.
Available on all paid plans. Server-side events through automations need the Learning Center plan or higher.
What you can do with Google Analytics and LearnWorlds
Connect with one Measurement ID
Paste the Measurement ID from your GA4 data stream into LearnWorlds and save. LearnWorlds then sends events using the gtag.js library.
Send events from automations
On Learning Center or higher, set up automations in your school that send additional server-side events to Google Analytics.
Respect Google Consent Mode
LearnWorlds is adjusted to comply with Google Consent Mode. Visitors accept the required cookies, which you also need for tracking Google Ads conversions.
Check events in real time
New events show in the GA4 Real-time report almost immediately. Standard reports and explorations usually take 24 to 48 hours to fill in.
How LearnWorlds and Google Analytics integrate
See which school events reach GA4. Page views always track, and the other rows need their event setting turned on first.
| LearnWorlds | Google Analytics | Type of trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Visitor loads a page | Page view event | Automatic |
| User registers or starts a free trial | Registration or free_trial_subscription event | Conditional |
| Purchase completed in your school | purchase event | Conditional |
| User enrolls or views an item | enrolled or view_item event | Conditional |
| User adds to cart or begins checkout | add_to_cart or begin_checkout event | Conditional |
What teams ask before connecting
Which events does LearnWorlds send to GA4 automatically: registrations, purchases, or more?
Page view events are always tracked. You can also turn on registration, free trial, and purchase events. Enrolled and view item events are available too, along with add to cart and begin checkout.
Do I need the Learning Center plan for server-side event tracking, or is basic GA4 on all plans?
Basic GA4 runs on every paid plan. Server-side events, which send extra events from your school’s automations, need the Learning Center plan or higher.
Can I use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager at the same time without conflicts?
Pick one way to load GA4. LearnWorlds supports the native integration, the Site custom code editor, or a GA4 tag fired through Google Tag Manager. The help article says to use only one of them, with the native integration recommended.
