Share course files with the Google Drive LMS integration
Share downloadable files and embedded documents with learners straight from Google Drive. The Google Drive integration works through public shareable links and embed codes.

TL;DR
The Google Drive LMS integration lets you keep files in Drive and point learners to them. Paste a public link into resources or thank you text, or embed Drive files on your pages.
Stop emailing freebies. Link a Drive file in your thank you text
Skip re-uploading files. Paste Drive links into your Best Resources library
Show Drive PDFs and videos on your pages instead of sending attachments
Best for: course creators who already keep lead magnets and handouts in Google Drive.
Available on all paid plans.
What you can do with Google Drive and LearnWorlds
Deliver lead magnets by link
Add a Google Drive link to the thank you text that new leads see, so they can grab the freebie straight away.
Offer downloads in Best Resources
Paste a shareable Google Drive URL into your Best Resources library. Learners open the file in Google Drive and download it to their device.
Embed Drive files on pages
Embed PDFs or videos stored in Google Drive on your school pages with an embed code. The file must be shared publicly to display.
Switch to direct downloads
Convert a Google Drive link into a direct download link so learners download the file instead of opening it in Drive.
How LearnWorlds and Google Drive integrate
See what happens on the Google Drive side when learners and leads reach your Drive files. Every row is Conditional because you add each link or embed yourself.
| LearnWorlds | Google Drive | Type of trigger |
|---|---|---|
| A learner opens a Drive link from Best Resources | The file opens in Google Drive, ready to download | Conditional |
| A visitor views a page with an embedded Drive file | The PDF or video displays if the file is shared publicly | Conditional |
| A new lead sees your thank you text | The freebie opens from the shareable Drive link | Conditional |
What teams ask before connecting
Is this a native integration or does it work via embed and external links?
It works through embed codes and external links. You share the file publicly in Google Drive, then paste its link or embed code into LearnWorlds. Bulk upload connects to Dropbox and OneDrive, and the media library to Dropbox, but neither lists Google Drive.
Do learners need a Google account to view embedded Drive content?
Not if the file is shared as Anyone with the link. If the file stays Restricted, only people logged in to Google who have been granted access can open it. Embedded files also need public sharing to display on your pages.
How to set up the LearnWorlds and Google Drive integration
Share each file publicly in Google Drive, then paste its link or embed code where learners and leads will find it.
1. Share the file publicly
In Google Drive, set the file’s access to Anyone with the link. Requires: a Google account with the file uploaded to Drive.
2. Copy the shareable link
Copy the shareable Google Drive URL. Convert it to a direct download link if you want learners to download without opening Drive.
3. Add it to Best Resources
Paste the URL into your Best Resources library so learners can open and download the file.
4. Link the freebie
For a lead magnet, add the Drive link to the thank you text that new leads see.
5. Embed files on pages
To show a PDF or video on a page, paste the Drive file’s embed code into the page. For the full setup guide, see the embed codes help article.
