Speed up sign-up with the social media login LMS integration
Let learners sign up with an account they already use. The social media login integration supports Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn plus Apple and Twitter.
TL;DR
The social media login integration lets learners sign up with an account they already have, so they skip creating another username and password. It’s a social media login LMS integration you turn on in your school settings.
Skip the new-password step. Learners sign up with Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn
Stop creating accounts by hand. LearnWorlds creates one after each social sign-up
Keep affiliate credit intact. Social registrations still count in affiliate tracking
Best for: Course creators who want visitors to sign up without creating another password.
Available on all paid plans. Whitelabeled social logins need Learning Center or higher.
What you can do with social media login and LearnWorlds
Offer five social sign-in options
Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn are on by default. Add Apple or Twitter when you want learners to have them too.
Order the login buttons
Choose which providers show on your sign-in and sign-up form and put the one your learners use most at the top.
Remove LearnWorlds branding
Whitelabel each provider’s login so learners see your brand when they authorize access. Each provider has its own whitelabel guide.
Spot social sign-ups quickly
See which accounts came from a social login by the icon on each user’s avatar in User Management.
How LearnWorlds and social media login integrate
See what happens when learners use a social account to join your school. Automatic rows need nothing beyond turning a provider on, and Conditional rows depend on your sign-up settings.
| LearnWorlds | Social media login | Type of trigger |
|---|---|---|
| Learner signs up with a social login | Learner authorizes access with the provider and a LearnWorlds account is created | Automatic |
| Social sign-up completes | The account type is recorded and shown as an icon on the user’s avatar | Automatic |
| Social sign-up when only buyers can sign up | Registration prohibited message appears unless Anyone can Sign-up is on | Conditional |
| Returning learner signs in | Login works through the same social provider used at sign-up | Automatic |
| Registration through a social login with an affiliate link | Affiliate link is tracked for commission | Automatic |
What teams ask before connecting
Which social login providers does LearnWorlds support?
LearnWorlds supports five providers. Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn are on by default. Apple and Twitter are also available. You choose which ones appear on your sign-in and sign-up form and in what order.
Does each social login provider require its own developer app setup?
No, not to switch them on. Social logins work once you turn them on in Website settings > Authentication > Social. Whitelabeling, which removes the LearnWorlds brand from the login, has its own guide per provider and needs Learning Center or higher.
How to set up the LearnWorlds and social media login integration
Setup happens in your LearnWorlds settings and takes a few minutes. At the end, your sign-in and sign-up form shows the social logins you picked.
1. Open the social login settings
Go to Website settings > Authentication > Social.
2. Choose your providers
Turn on the providers you want and turn off the rest. Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn are on by default. Apple and Twitter are also available.
3. Set the display order
Reorder the providers to control how they appear on your sign-in and sign-up form.
4. Check your sign-up settings
If only buyers can sign up, social sign-ups fail with a Registration prohibited message. Turn on Anyone can Sign-up if social sign-up matters for your school.
5. Whitelabel your social logins
Follow each provider’s guide to remove the LearnWorlds brand from its login. Requires: the Learning Center plan or higher. For the full setup guide, see the social login help article.

Who uses the social media login integration and how
Course creators selling to individual learners
A visitor reaches your payment page, signs up with Google, and continues to checkout without inventing a new password.
Professional training providers with LinkedIn audiences
Professionals sign up with LinkedIn and get a LearnWorlds account right away, marked with the social icon in User Management.
Schools running affiliate programs
Affiliates share their links and visitors register with a social login. The registration is still tracked, so the affiliate gets credit.
FAQs
Social login is available on all paid plans. Whitelabeling the social logins needs the Learning Center plan or higher.
On your sign-in and sign-up form, in the order you set. Social sign-up also works on the payment page when your school lets anyone sign up.
Not through LearnWorlds. They change it with the social provider, for example in their Google settings. If needed, an admin can add a custom password and send a Reset Password email, after which the learner can log in both ways.
No. A learner who signs up with one social login has to keep using that same login to sign in.
Yes. It takes a few settings changes, and it removes the step where new learners create another username and password. LearnWorlds creates each account automatically, and you can see more LearnWorlds integrations.
