The new Interactive Video editor & player is finally here!
Over the years, our unique interactive video player has changed and evolved to add flavor to video-courses. Our mission is clear: no more passive watching.
When teaching any subject, you want to offer an engaging experience and captivate your students’ attention.
And, we keep offering you the best tools to do that with LearnWorlds. On the fourth major update of our Interactive Video, we are introducing some amazing new features:
*The Interactive Video editor and all related features are available on the Learning Center subscription and above.
Interactive transcripts will add flair to your video course. Just one click, and we create the transcript for you (and the subtitles)! So, what are you able to do exactly?
Auto-create your video transcript,
Present the whole narrated text to the learners,
Highlight in real-time the spoken words,
Enable the learners to navigate to the video by clicking on the transcript text.
Isn’t that exciting?
The process uses the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to recognize speech in the video and automatically transcribe it word by word. Each word is then assigned to the exact millisecond it is spoken and will be highlighted as the video goes on.
*Auto-transcription is limited to 180 minutes (three hours of video) per month for Learning Center plans, due to the high cost of the service. More time can be purchased as an add-on.
Our improved interactive video editor comes with more exciting features, like the much-requested subtitles management. You are now able to add and edit subtitles in multiple languages.
You can even convert subtitles into interactive transcripts!
The video editor is refurbished and easier than ever to use. Ain’t that something? Better organization, just point and click to the element you wish to add and open up the list of elements to edit or remove any.
Additionally, on the new editor, you will now be able to choose the thumbnail of any video instead of this being automatic.
How to Use the Interactive Video
Go to your course’s contents. Choose a video and click on the Edit Video button, as shown below.
Your screen will load into the video editing window. You can see all the interactive elements on the right.
Now, you can edit your videos and transform a passive video into an interactive activity.
Remember to save any changes, and publish the subtitles or transcripts before using preview to see the changes.
Try out to:
Generate an Interactive Transcript from Subtitles
In some cases, video transcription might not work well. This is usually due to a slight accent, lower quality video/audio, or any other number of reasons.
To avoid having to rework the text after the auto-transcription process, you can add subtitles to the video and click to transform them into a transcript.
This is a workaround if a transcript is not correctly corresponding to the timing of the speech. The automated transcripts work with milliseconds assigned to every single word, while subtitles work on full sentences.
More on LearnWorlds’ video capabilities, you can also protect your videos with watermarks.
Your creativity is the only limit to what you can achieve!
